2009 PennDOT Outlook Luncheon - by gjanero 03/18/2009 @ 10:01

On March 11, 2009, representatives from the six western PennDOT Districts were invited to speak to a group of engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers at the Sheraton Station Square. The PennDOT representatives were invited to speak about upcoming design and construction workload, as well as discussions involving the effects of the current federal stimulus package (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act). The event was very informative, with a good Q&A session at the end of the day. It is also an excellent event to meet members of the design and construction community, and to catch up with associates that are not often seen. This year marks the fourth year of this special roundtable luncheon, with more local professional societies becoming involved each year. This year’s event was officially hosted by ACEC/PA, ASCE, ASHE, CMAA, and SAME. Special thanks go to Tom Zagorski (M. Baker Corp.) for acting as master of ceremonies, and to Gene Janero (GF) for coordinating the event.

A copy of the PennDOT presnetations can be downloaded from HERE.
