2009 Christmas Luncheon
- by gjanero
01/04/2010 @ 15:47
 | Our second annual Christmas luncheon was held on December 8th, 2009. It was a memorable event with ESWP’s traditionally excellent food and lively discussions. A special thanks to all of those who took the time to attend during this hectic month. This year we accepted donations for the 316th Engineering Detachment who are currently serving in Iraq as a part of Iraqi Freedom. The 316th are out of Butler Pennsylvania. The gifts varied from hand sanitizer to candy, and from flavored drink packets to periodicals. | | | Rob Yauger and I had the pleasure of boxing up all of the goods. I’m still not sure how Rob fit it all in his car for the trip to the Post Office, but it did arrive before Christmas as we did receive a nice thank you e-mail from them.
| We also took the opportunity at this meeting to pass out some awards to our members that we have been accumulating over the course of 2009. Our treasured and former president, Jeanine Hoey, was honored by having her name added to the Distinguished Members plaque. |
|
Alyssa Kunselman, the chair of our Young Member committee, and Joe Bossard, our Treasurer, both received the Regional Vice President’s Medal for outstanding service to the Post.
| We also honored Craig Cicconi, who donated his time and money in replacing the Post’s Distinguished Member plaque. A special certificate for Meritorious Service was prepared. | |
